Notes from Client Services

We continue to offer several programs to provide ongoing services to teens, pregnant teens, or our teen mom clientele.  As always, our pregnancy tests remain free and confidential.  Our pregnancy tests are supplied by a local physician and can be performed confidentially no matter what your age.

If a teen becomes pregnant, our teen support program steps forward to provide pregnancy and parenting information.  This can be done either after school hours at our agency, or educational classes can be brought to the teen’s home school during lunch, study hall, free period, or after school (if transportation is an issue).

We provide important information on the dangers of drug and alcohol use during pregnancy, considering the adoption option, the consequences of choosing abortion, and how to make wise choices for a healthy relationship.  Once a teen has made a plan, we have an abundance of material on what to expect during pregnancy, baby care, and parenting information as relevant.

We also meet the needs of middle school girls through our P.I.N.K. program.  P.I.N.K. (Purity, Integrity, New Ideas Knowledge) is entirely voluntary and available through all our Van Wert County Schools.  P.I.N.K. meets weekly at the schools to discuss many topics current to today’s teen girls – self esteem, confidence, communication, friendships, mean girls, boundaries, how to say no, and healthy relationships.  All groups are fun and interactive with many learning activities.  Our goal is to provide positive support as teen girls make choices that will shape the rest of their lives.  We are all about encouragement and guidance.
